401 (k) Plans
401(k) Plans can be offered by employers to their employees to permit earnings
to be allocated on a pre-tax basis into an investment plan that can grow tax deferred
until withdrawals begin. The extent to which highly compensated employees (those
earning $100,000 or more) can utilize the plan is based upon the extent to which
the Non-Highly Compensated use the plan. For example, if the average enrollment percentage
among the non-highly compensated is only 3% of pay, then the highly compensated
can only enroll for an average of 5% of pay.
We offer four stand alone services in connection with 401(k) plans.
- We provide professional staff to facilitate the enrollment of employees. Our
people have many years of experience in helping employees to enroll in various
forms of voluntary retirement plans. Our typical enrollment produces an average
participation by the non-highly compensated employees of 5% to 6% of payroll,
which normally increases over time. We are normally not dependent upon an employer
match or contribution to effect this result.
- We have the knowledge and materials to conduct employee training sessions
on how to invest their 401(k) money. In periods of economic volatility, "The
Volatility Buffering Strategy®" can be a valuable tool in helping employees
to achieve their long-term goals.
- We provide a mix of investment products* suitable for 401(k) plans. These products
can be structured to include a list of independently selected investments from
any source that is suitable to 401(k) plans as well as packages of investments
from various mutual fund companies tied together by a single administrative provider.
- We can provide complete administrative and record keeping services.
