Individual Long Term Care Insurance

The percentage of people who crash their cars or whose homes burn down is minimal. And yet, we all carry homeowners and automobile insurance. The statistics are that if we live long enough, 40% of us will need some form of long term care, either in a facility or in our home. Long-term care benefits are driven by your inability to perform "Acts of Daily Living" (ADL's). ADL's consist of things such as feeding yourself, bathing, getting dressed, etc. As we age, many of us lose the ability to perform these ADL's. In most cases, the loss of two ADL's qualifies us for Long Term Care benefits.

Please note than the loss of an ADL has nothing to do with getting sick. It is a function of aging. As such, there are no medical benefits associated with this loss. Medicare doesn't pay. Who does? It has been said that everyone has a Long Term Care Plan in place right now, whether they realize it or not. Without insurance, the cost of Long Term Care will be paid for by you.

Long Term Care insurance is not inexpensive because the probability of claim is so high. It is not an easy type of policy to get for many companies will rule you out as a candidate for seemingly little things such as needing a cane to walk. You need help in finding the right policy with the right benefits at the right price. We can help you. Call us at 1-888-PLAN AHEAD or contact us at info@vbscorp.com.
